Totally Motorsportís Junior Academy driver Cameron Roberts was looking good in the Friday test sessions at Knockhill with fastest time in both the wet and the dry in the morning session. Qualifying didnít go as well on Saturday as Cameron was fastest in the first two sectors of his flying lap but was held up in sector 3 which meant the best he could do was 7thplace on the grid. Unfortunately with a 5 place grid penalty for a safety flag infringement at the last Croft meeting Cameron had to start in 12th position/
Race 1 saw Cameron make a bad start off the line but soon made up places to eventually finish 8th
Roberts made a great start in race 2 and was picking off his competition one by one and on lap 5 was challenging for 3rd place. As he lunged down the inside of Championship leader Will Tregurtha he was forced wide and into a spin which meant he had to rejoin the pack at the back and could only manage 14th position by the chequered flag.
This meant that Cameron started 14th for race 3 and although he did manage to make headway, again 8th was the best result he could manage. Cameron said after the race, "Itís been a tough weekend, I have proved I have the pace but at the start of all these weekends, qualifying is crucial, so I need to work harder next time to make sure the car is at the sharp end of the grid!Ē
