Nurishment Active backed Roberts and Hornby at Oulton
Totally Motorsport’s Junior Academy drivers Cameron Roberts and Kyle Hornby both had a miserable weekend in their JHR Motorsport Nurishment Active backed Ginetta Juniors. Qualifying on Saturday worked well for Hornby in 6th position but Roberts was down in 16thdue to a broken engine, which had to be replaced overnight
Kyle made a good start in race 1 on the Saturday but was squeezed out on lap 1 and dropped down to 11th. Meanwhile Cameron was still lacking power and a pitstop on lap 5 was the end of his race as the car would not restart. Kyle managed to make up 4 places during the race to finish a credible 7th to score some valuable points.
On Sunday with Hornby on P7 and Roberts on P22 due to his failure to finish in race 1 the previous day both drivers were looking forward to a good race in the glorious sunshine and a capacity crowd. Unfortunately this would not be the case for both drivers. Kyle made a good start and was battling with several drivers in the leading pack, only to be T boned by Harper on lap 4 which wiped him out on the spot. Cameron still had problems with power and although he made some brave maneuvers, and fought his way up to 11th he was unable to gain further places due to the safety car being deployed as a result of the Harper/Hornby incident. Race 2 was concluded under the safety car leaving both Nurishment Active drivers out of the top ten.
