Q1: Why have you chosen to participate in your particular sport?
A1: I have been playing football since I was 7 years old, I love most sports but football has always been my passion.
Q2: What are your aims and ambitions in your sport?
A2: My ambition is to win a divisional trophy with Lemsford and make us the most successful football club in the local area.
Q3: How often do you train?
A3: We train twice a week and play on a Saturday
Q4: What does your training regime involve?
A4: We have an hour of cardiovascular training and then an hour of ball work
Q5: Each bottle of Nurishment Active has 35g of protein and a unique combination of 22 vitamins and minerals. How important is ‘high protein’ to your training and recovery?
A5: High protein helps to replenish lost energy but also helps to build stronger muscles. It certainly helps in the recovery process after training and matches.
Q6: What advice would you give to people who are thinking of competing in your sport?
A6: AlI I would say is be committed, give it your all and enjoy playing football. Not everyone is going to be David Beckham but the taking part is what is important. Football helps to build discipline, strength and focus, but also being part of the club enriches your life with friends.
Q7: Which sportsman/woman do you most admire – and why?
A7: I am a big admirer of Ryan Giggs. He has dedicated himself to his love of football. He has been rewarded with playing for the biggest football club in the world and being regarded as one of the greatest sportsman of his generation.
Q8: What’s a typical training day like?
A8: I try to train personally everyday. I start with a healthy breakfast and try to either run, ride my bike or go to the gym. I use Nurishment Active to keep me going
Q9: What gives you the biggest buzz in your sport?
A9: Winning games, I would like to say it is the taking part, but I am extremely competitive!!
Q10: Nurishment Active encourages sports people to ‘reset their limits’. How important is goal setting and pushing yourself to ensure you perform at your best?
A10: It’s massively important, without targets we never know how far we are able to go. Boundaries are there to be broken and I think that pushing your goal each time keeps not only your body but your brain active as well.
